BetMakers, CrossBet Join Forces for Ontario Sports Betting Launch

The popular pastime is set to launch in Canada’s most populous region on April 4, 2022.
As the launch of sports betting in Ontario inches ever closer, two more gaming companies have entered the fray. BetMakers has signed a partnership with the online sports betting operator CrossBet.

Through this new agreement, BetMakers will provide its sports wagering platform for CrossBet’s offering in Canada. This will mark a major step for the operator, which is currently preparing for launch in New Jersey.

For their part, the executives at BetMakers see this as an important opportunity.

Christian Stuart, BetMakers’ CEO North America, noted:

“We are excited to power the CrossBet brand with our proprietary wagering technology. Launching in Ontario will be an exciting achievement for BetMakers as we continue to make inroads into the North American wagering market.”

The provider’s offering has a focus on horseracing and will allow CrossBet to become one of the first operators to launch in Canada, joining PointsBet and theScore.

Scott Cross, CEO and Founder of CrossBet, added:

“We are very pleased to partner with BetMakers for CrossBet’s first foray into international expansion via the Canadian Market.

BetMakers have been key in our growth strategy in Australia, so it was an easy decision to continue the relationship as we look to expand our fast growth trajectory in Ontario. We know that BetMakers’ market leading technology will give us the tools we need to successfully implement our global growth strategy.”

This agreement marks BetMakers’ first entrance into the North American betting market. However, the two brands have worked together in the past, via CrossBet’s launch in Australia.
