Massachusetts casinos generate $26.15m in tax revenue in August

The Massachusetts Gaming Commission has reported that the state’s share of gaming revenue in August was $26.15m, a slight decrease from the record $27m in taxes and fees received in July but still well over the monthly average of $21.84m since the state’s three casinos have been open.

Revenue at Encore Boston Harbor, MGM Springfield and Plainridge Park Casino took a small step backwards in August, coming in at $92m compared to $95.74m in July.

Encore Boston Harbor reported $57.86m – $32.4m from its slot machines and $25.4m from its table games. MGM Springfield counted about $21.8m, with almost $17m generated by the casino’s slots. Plainridge Park Casino brought in $12.7m at its slot machines.
