Rezoning approved for Caesars’ new Virginia casino

Caesars Entertainment’s new casino in Virginia is one step closer to breaking ground after Danville City Council approved the company’s rezoning request.

US.- Danville City Council has approved a rezoning of the site for a new Caesars casino in Virginia.

The $400m new casino will be developed on the site of the former Dan River Mills building, which will be demolished to make way for the new development.

Caesars expects the project to be complete by 2023 and to generate 1,300 full-time positions and a further 900 during construction.

The venue will host multiple restaurants and bars, a 300-room four-star hotel, a 2,500-seat live entertainment venue, a 35,000-square-foot conference centre, a pool and a spa.

The gaming floor will hold 2,000 slot machines, 75 table games, 16 poker tables and a sportsbook.
