WSOP Reveals 2022 Daily Event Schedule

This marks the first time that the world-famous poker tournament will take place on the Las Vegas Strip.
The World Series of Poker (WSOP) has today announced its daily event schedule ahead of the 2022 tournament. Taking place at Bally’s on the Las Vegas Strip, after 17 years at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, the 2022 tournament will begin on May 31 and end on July 20.

The main event at this year’s WSOP event will take place around Independence Day. 2021’s main event attracted over 6,000 players despite a litany of Covid-19 restrictions.

“This year is particularly historic for the WSOP with its move to the heart of the Las Vegas Strip and debut in the best facilities we’ve ever had,” said Ty Stewart, the WSOP’s Executive Director residing over his 17th WSOP.

“We’re ready to welcome players from all over the world to our housewarming party at Bally’s, soon-to-be Horseshoe, and Paris. The schedule is jam-packed with first-class events and we expect this to be the biggest and most anticipated WSOP yet.”

Another event to take place at this year’s event is a $5m guaranteed prize pool tournament, with a $500 buy in, set to take place on the competition’s opening weekend. This event will be titled “The Housewarming.”

Other highlights include; the Return of the Record Breakers, taking place between June 11 and July 16, the Tournament of Champions featuring 88 previous winners on July 18, and the High Roller No-Limit Hold’em. A number of mid-stakes events will take place throughout the event, running from June 1 to July 16 and featuring winnings of up to $5,000.

As Covid-19 recedes from prominence, organizers of the WSOP have decided to forgo the need for vaccine passports. However, the company made it clear to confirm that the event would follow all state and CDC advice.
